History

History

The center was commissioned following Welsh Government commissioned research by the Wales Rural Observatory looking into  issues affecting deep rural areas of Wales.

Funded by The Rural Development Plan for Wales, the building has been designed by Powell Dobson Architects and structural services have been provided by the County Council’s Transportation and Environmental directorates.

“We hope that this development will stimulate the delivery of outreach services and reduce the impact of social isolation in the Clydau ward”.

“Ultimately we aim to bring long-term sustainability to this rural community.”
